The landslide occurred in Yongtai County, Fujian Province. Based on detailed geological survey and monitored displacement during rainfall period, the mechanism of landslide activation was studied from the perspectives of geological condition and influencing factors. The evolution of the landslide was investigated by using Geostudio, and on which landslide control can be divided into two main steps. The first step is emergency mitigation, in which drainage is designed to decrease groundwater level in the landslide. Based on the analysis of the relationship between rainfall and landslide deformation velocity, the drainage is to be installed in the lower part of landslide. The second step is to install stabilizing piles. Based on numerical and theoretical analyses, the stabilizing piles should be installed in the lower part of the landslide. The diameter, net spacing and center-to-center spacing are 1.0 m, 2.0 m and 3.0 m, respectively.
