Method for Identifying Local Stiffness of Linear Structures Under Random Excitations

A new method to identify the magnitude of the local stiffness in the linear structural system under random excitations was developed based on the natural relationship of the variances between input excitations and the output responses, variation principle and multiparameter's optimization method. An illustration example shows that the estimation results are agreed well with the exacted values. The maximum relative error is about 1% after 3 time iterated process, and it is less than 0.012% after 4 time iterated process and it is almost equal to zero after 5 time iterated process.

To solve the uncertain control problem of system, the uncertain parameters were described by the interval model, and the uncertain control problem was approximated by a deterministic. The method for building the interval state matrices with the system physical parameters was developed. The state feedback gain matrix of system with deterministic parameters could be obtained by using the method of pole allocation, and then it was applied to the actual uncertain system. With matrix perturbation and interval extension, the algorithm for estimating the upper and lower bounds of the interval eigenvalues was developed. A numerical example was given to illustrate the application of the present method. The results can describe how the uncertain parameters of the system affect the real and imaginary parts of eigenvalues of closedloop system.

lity gemgrade diamond crystal(>4 mm) was synthesized on {1 1 1} seed facets with NiMnCo as metal solvent using temperature gradient method (TGM) under high pressure and high temperature(HPHT), and compared with that grown on {1 0 0} facet. The results show that in the case of {1 0 0} , the morphology of crystal changes from lowtemperature sheet to hightemperature tower with increasing the synthesized temperature, whereas in the case of {1 1 1} the change trend is contrary to {1 0 0}. When {1 1 1} facet or {1 1 1} was used as the growth facet, the sheetlike crystal is more difficult to incorporated for the metal inclusion regardless of synthesized temperature. With NiMnCo metal as solvent, large highquality gemgrade diamonds can also grow on {1 1 1} facet with proper temperature gradient. Therefore, this method can be used to seek a cheaper metal solvent to replace expensive NiMnCo alloy for diamond synthesis.

To evaluate the vehicle steering stability accurately and to establish its precise evaluation standard, a real time vehicle test system based on the INS/RTKDGPS combined navigation was proposed in the light of the velicle dynamic driving behavior. The system can be applied in the vehicle field test to measure the vehicle movement states realtimely. The modules of the system were introduced, and the algorithm accuracy was verified by real vehicle tests, providing new devices and methods for the evaluation of vehicle steering stability.

To make good use of the onboard energy sources in the hybridelectric vehicle (HEV) design and application, several influencing factors on the HEV system efficiency were studied. By contrast calculation and simulation, the adaptiveness of different structural schemes and control strategies was evaluated, and the effects of the connection of double power sources, the hybridization ratio, the driving cycle, and the control strategy on the system efficiency were discussed. Results show that taking the planetary gear as output shaft, increasing the hybridization ratio and adopting the fuzzy logic control are helpful to improve the system efficiency of HEV under driving cycle especially under urban driving conditions.

Abstract:For the passenger safety in the vehicle collision, the deformation and energyabsorption characteristics of the front fender rail as the main energyabsorbing component in the vehicle collision were investigated. Taking the thinwall fornt rail in the Hongqi car as an example, its modeling was performed and the deformations of the original component and the improved one were simulated and their results were compared. The simulated results were in good agreement with the experimentally measured ones, implicating they are helpful for optimization of the vehicle anticollision safety design.

A brief description of a singlestroke rapid compression machine was given and its data acquisition and processing system was developed. The structure and the working principle of the system were presented. A 4channal synchronous collecting card PCI9812 of Adlink Technology Inc. and a multifunctional collecting card PCL818 of Advantech Co. were used in the system to perform the highspeed acquisition and processing of the transient parameters. Recorded piston displacement versus incylinder pressure traces and other parameters by the developed system proved its accuracy and rebiability.

The research methods of the autoignition in the turbulent reacting flow and their stateofthearts were reviewed. The autoignition phenomena of gaseous fuels as well as liquid fuels in a controllable active thermoatmosphere (CATA) were investigated experimentally. A novel research method for the autoignition of homogeneous mixture of the liquid fuel was proposed. The results show that the liftoff height of the CH4/Air jet flame decreases with the increase of the coflow temperature, and the change of the liftoff height versus the coflow temperature presents the twostages behavior, and the stabilization of lifted flame is dominated by the autoignition of premixed homogeneous mixture in lower coflow temperature range. The phenomena of rapid multipoint autoignition were observed in the experiment of diesel fuel spray issuing into the CATA, and a special lifted flame appeared with a triple flame. The results prove the feasibility of the proposed method for the research of liquid fuel autoignition.

The experimental investigation of the diffusion bonding of titanium alloy(Ti6Al4V) to tinbronze (ZQSn1010) was carried out. The microforms of diffusion joint were analyzed using field emission scanning electron microscope with an attached energy dispersive Xray analyzer. The results show that due to diffusion of the elements, a layer of intermetallic compound is formed between these two materials as they are bonded together directly, leading to a 30% strength of the base metal (ZQSn1010) in joint region. If Ni is used as an interlayer to prevent element from diffusion, the microstructure is considerably improved in joint region. When the optimum bonding parameters are chosen as follows: bonding temperature T=830 ℃, bonding pressure p=15 MPa, bonding time t=30 min, the strength of joint without obvious change in shape is 65% as compared with base metal (ZQSn1010),reaches 155 MPa.

A series of microarc oxidation (MAO) layers was produced on the surfaces of die cast magnesium alloy AZ91 in hexametaphosphate electrolyte. The effects of concentrations of sodium hexametaphosphate and sodium hydroxide, current density and the oxidation time on MAO layers growth were discussed.The surface features and corrosion resistance of the MAO layers were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy and neutral salt spray test. The results show that the corrosion resistance of die cast magnesium alloy AZ91 is greatly improved by MAO treatment in comparison to the substrate. The optimum technological parameters for producing MAO layers in hexametaphosphate electrolyte were given as follows: 2 g/L (NaPO3)6, 6 g/L NaOH, current density: 6 A/dm2; oxidation time: 10 min.

The closed loop control features in the multiphase of gas pressure profile of a gas assisted injection molding equipment were analyzed based on the gas pressure control request of the molding technology to the equipment. The PID control equations were established for the ascending, constant and descending gas pressure phases respectively. Using DLL function, the multiphase gas pressure control module in Labview environment was developed, including the control software compilation. The developed control system has been applied to a selfdeveloped 35 MPa gas assisted injection molding equipment. In the case of molding the FM truck roof handle, the maximum fluctuation of the controlled gas pressures is less than 5%, the gas pressure step change time is less than 1 s, the control system is highly robust.

To improve the precision of onestep forming simulation and avoid shearing closedown of unit, the currently used method was improved by proposing the model of surface spreading fournode isoparametric membrane element and adopting partial reducing integral technology. This method was applied to simulate an automobile front fender, and its results were compared with the results of experiment and simulation by incremental method. The contrast result shows that the results from onestep forming method are very close to those of incremental simulation but its computational time is fewer one thirtieth than that of incremental method, and proves the validity and practicability of the method proposed in this paper.

By using the technique of NURBS, the surface generation based on complex curve was discussed, and an algorithm of surface generation applied to die face design was presented. The algorithm is suitable to generate additional surface such as the fillhole surface, the smooth surface of the automotive panel contour, the addendum surface and so on. The relevant function modules for parametric design were developed. The feasibility of the technique was proved by the simulation result which creates the additional surface of the front fender and the doorframe successfully.

A new precise actuator with 2 degrees of freedom for translational and rotational motions actuated by the impact force of an endloaded piezoelectric bimorph cantilever was proposed. The dynamic characteristics of the piezoelectric bimorph was studied by FEM and experimental measurements. A control system of the actuator based on the fixedfrequency and adjustableamplitude voltage was tested. The actuator performance on translational and ratational motions were measured. Results show that the proposed actuator is charaterized by simple structure, large travel range, strong driving ability and high positioning resolution. Its cost is estimated only 1% of the traditional impact actuators.

For the estimation of 4D parameters (frequency, elevation ,bearing, and range) in nearfield narrowband sources, a new method was presented which used eigenvalues together with the corresponding eigenvectors and four-order cumulant to estimate 4D parameters of sources. Without requiring spectral peak searching, this method can be applied to additive Guassian noise environments. The effectiveness is verified by the computer simulations.

In order to solve the problem of speech endpoint detection in realworld noisy environments, a new robust feature extraction technique for speech endpoint detection was proposed. In the technique, the cyclic average magnitude difference function in the fundemental tone detection in combination with the basic spectral entropy was applied to extract the features of speech endpoint. The proposed technique is characterized by adaptation to the various noisy environments without any need for a prior knowledge of the noise. Simulation results show that the feature extraction is effective to reduce the impact of various kinds of noise under low signaltonoise ratio.

In order to solve the problems of longterm lightload and idle pumping that many oil wells faced, a control system to operate the oil pump intermittently was developed. It is based on nonlinear homotopic BP neural network with nonlinear normalization method to identify the oil pumping model, and the genetic algorithm to optimize the downtime. The spot test of the control system showed that up to 30% of the energy-saving rate was achieved under the guaranteed oil output and the intelligent control of the oil pumping was realized.

The problem of stabilizing switched linear systems via observerbased switching was investigated. Using multiple Lyapunov functions technique, the sufficient conditions of stabilizing switched linear systems via observerbased switching were derived both for the continuous and discretetime cases. The parameterized characterization of the observer was provided and the corresponding switching strategies were constructed to guarantee stability. An example was given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

To realize the integration of the light source of the digital light processing(DLP) projection display with the other application systems and its automation, a remote light controller was developed. The light controller is composed of three circuits: the main circuit to control the filament preheating, the highvoltage excitation, and the stablized power supply; the radio transmission circuit to perform the key coding and the radio transmission; the receiving circuit to receive the coding information. Application in the DLP projection television shows that the light controller not only realizes remote operation, but also improves the output stability of light source and the image display quality.

Search for Optimal Launch Window for Small Celestial Body Exploration Mission Using Genetic Algorithm

In the light of the drawbacks of the conventional porkchop plots method that needs a lot of computation time with low computation efficiency, a search approach for optimal launch window for exploring small celestial body was proposed based on the genetic algorithm. The approach selects the total velocity increment for the exploration mission as the objective function and the genetic algorithm as optimization algorithm. Through calculating the ephemeris and solving the Gauss problems, the complicated multivariable nonlinear optimization problem was reduced to a doublevariable optimization problem. Thereby, the coding work load and search space decreases greatly. The approach has not only the global search function, but also the good convergence property, and improves the computation efficiency. Finally, taking the 4660 Nereus asteroid as an example, searching the optimal launch window for the rendezvous missions using the twoimpulse transfer in the range of 2008-2012 years was preformed. The results of simulation indicate that the proposed approach is consistent with the conventional one, but the computation time is only the 4.19% of the conventional method.

To improve the transmission performance of bluetooth asynchronous data packets in addictive white Gaussian noise channel, the effect of packet type on the system performance under different signaltonoise ratio (SNR) is investigated, and relationship between system throughput and average received SNR was deduced, then an adaptive packet selection algorithm based on SNR was presented. This algorithm can choose the optimal packet type for data transmission according to average received SNR, and the threshold values for switching packet type were given. Simulation and analytical results show that the average throughput of the system can achieve maximum value regardless of the channel conditions, so the system performance under bad channel conditions was improved.

For the problem of value iteration (VI) optimization of the compact action set in semiMarkov decision process, a unified standard VI algorithm directly based on the equivalent infinitesimal generator under both discount and average criteria was proposed with the proof of convergence. In addition, two unified asynchronous VI algorithms, GaussSeidel and stochastic, especially the stochastic asynchronous VI algorithm based on the sample path simulation under both discount and average criteria was discussed with improvement by using the performance potential theory. Comparison of each algorithm through a numerical example was given, which shows that the proposed algorithms are applicable to the continuoustime Markov decision processes.

To assess the influence of traffic environment factors on the road safety quantitatively, a fuzzy consistent matrix method was proposed. The assessment matrix was established with the standard numbers of the road safety accidents on four similar sections of two highways that were assessment objects, and the in membership degrees of were figured out, then the road safety of all sections was evaluated. The assessment results show that the fuzzy consistent matrix method can be described quantitatively and its result is intuitive, being an effective method to assess quantitatively the influence of traffic environment on the road safety.

The operating efficiencies of the existing shortest path searching algorithms such as Dijkstra algorithm and Dijkstra algorithm on the limiting ellipse, etc., are low and inconvenient in practical application, so they need to be improved. On the basis of the Dijkstra algorithm on the limiting ellipse, by means of linearizing the ellipse and optimizing the limiting polygon, an optimal path algorithm based on the limiting parallelogram was proposed to improve significantly the searching efficiency. The comparison results of free searching and searching by ellipse method and parallelogram method proved the efficiency and validity of the parallelogram method.

Chicken protein was hydrolyzed by Alcalase, Protamex, Neutrase, PTN 6.0S and Papain to examine the composition of amino acids, the distribution of peptides,and the DPPH scavenging activity of the hydrobysates.Results show that Alcalasehydrolysate has the highest soluble nitrogen and amino nitrogen, while the peptide content in Papainhydrolysate is the highest. In five hydrolysates, the highest contents of amino acids are Glu and Asp, the essential amino acid indexes of all hydrolysates are lower than that of chicken material, and the amino acid composition of Papainhydrolysate is closest to the reference pattern of amino acids. Distribution profiles of peptide molecular weight exhibit that the ratio of peptide with molecular weight (MW) between 10 000 and 5000 Da to the total peptide is highest in PTN 6.0Shydrolysate, while the ratios of peptides with MW between 5000 and 3000 Da or under 3000 Da are highest in Neutrase, Protamexhydrolysates. The scavenging activity of PTN 6.0Shydrolysate on DPPH is highest. All index diversities are related to the specificities of functional groups in proteases.

To prepare antimicrobial peptide gel and to research its invitro antimicrobial activity, To prepare antimicrobial peptide gel and to research its invitro antimicrobial activity, ultraviolet spectrophotometry was used to determine the content of the antimicrobial peptide, and orthogonal test was employed to determine the prescription, and cylinder plate method was used to detect the effects of antimicrobial peptide gel on the following bacteria: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylocococus aureus, Escherichia coli and different species of resistant Grampositive or resistant Gramnegative bacteria. Experimental results show that antimicrobial peptide gel has significant effect invitro growth inhibition on bacteria.The preparation method is feasible and the gel is stable.

The game psychology and decisionmaking rule of the players under the condition of grey information were revealed by using the grey system ideas and the systems engineering theories. The conceptions of the superiority, inferiority and equipollence position degrees of the interval grey number were defined, and it was proved that the sum of three position degrees for a certain interval grey number related to another grey number is 1, and that the relation set of the position degrees is a whole order set of the interval grey numbers. On this basis a pure strategy solution under the condition of grey number position degree was defined and the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the pure strategy solution, or the grey position saddle point were derived. Taking a coal reservoir problem for a certain unit for the heating in the winter under the condition that there was a fluctuation area of the coal prices as an example, its pure strategy as solution and venture problem were studied.
