Abstract: A realtime improvement scheme of Linux 2.6 kernel is proposed on the basis of the method of controlling execution time of interrupt, this scheme can resolve the problem of long response time caused by frequent interrupts in the execution process of Linux realtime tasks. By analyzing Linux 2.6 kernel interrupt mechanism as well as the interruption mechanism of the kernel branded Ingo Molar realtime kernel patch, and arranging an appropriate execution time for interrupt by comparing with the current tasks realtime priority, the task’s realtime res ponse was realized. Experimental results show that the interrupt response time of improvementscheme is shorter than that of the kernel with branded Ingo Molar realtime kernel patch.
