Time-delay system H control of GDI engine under idling mode

Abstract:

According to engine parameters and lowspeed steadystate data of certain model Mitsubishi GDI, a nonlinear timedelay mean value idling mode was developed. The delay includes inductiontotorque delay under steady state of engine, includes delay between time of air input controlled by air throttle to actual time of this section into the cylinder under transient state of engine, also includes delay of the action of the air throttle. Aiming at torque interfere generated by auto accessories using of electricity under idling mode, the timedelay H∞ state feedback controller was designed. This not only guarantees closedloop control system asymptotic stability, but also meets suppression ability as  γ about the output to disturbance input. Finally, making use of the exact engine model established by en_DYNA software to verify the modeling correctness and validity of control method. Simulation results showed that: the control effect is improved, the range and frequency of motion of the control actuator is reduced by taking into account the inherent timedelay phenomenon of engine when designing controllers.
