Multimedia high-level semantic framework and retrieval algorithm

Abstract:

To solve the problem of semantic gap in retrieving multimedia information, the definition and operation laws of matrix division method were presented, which describes the high-level semantic framework for many kinds of multimedia information. For the purpose of solving the problem of semantic gap for searching multimedia information, the high-level semantic framework was employed to retrieve multimedia information. Meanwhile, for this framework, a partial priority algorithm was proposed based on the results that each user retrieves multimedia information. The algorithm modifies adaptively the high-level semantic branch weights according to the results that each user retrieves multimedia information at each time. The retrieving efficiency is improved by the algorithm based on the framework.
