New method to discover human encoded microRNAs for regulating gene segments of influenza virus

Abstract:

A MiR-CR method was proposed based on conserved regions of influenza virus genes to discover human encoded miRNAs that regulate influenza virus. HA, NA, NP, PB2 and PA are taken as examples, seven human encoded miRNA are discovered. The result needs further experimental verification. Because the research of the miRNAs influenza gene expression in the infection is still in the early stage, the result of this work is of importance to discover the changing regularity of influenza pathogenicity and infection and apply in drug molecular design.
