Performance stability of fuel cell engine applied in the fuel cell car demonstration

Abstract:

The 30 fuel cell engines were tested for 360 hours under the Lab cyclic condition,and was concluded of 3600 hours' lifetime with 20% performance loss.The 30 fuel cell cars run up to 120 000 km during the demonstration in total,and the 3# car achieved 15000 km total running range.The performance stability of the fuel cell engine in the 3# car was discussed by analyzing the datum from the demonstration.It was found that the performance stability of the fuel cell engine in the Real Way Condition was worse than that of the Lab Cyclic Condition,since the dynamic characters of the Real Way Condition" was stronger,and the ability of the humidifying system was degraded in the "Real Way Condition".
