Analysis of fruit tree pests morphological characteristics based on computer vision

Abstract:

In order to diagnose crop diseases and insect pests,computer vision technique was used to study three common insect pests of the fruit trees in the suburb of Beijing.These insect pests were dichocrocis punetiferalis,holotrichia oblita and marumba gaschkewitschi Bremeret Grey.It used computervision method to clean the background and get the pest's morphological characteristics such as shape parameter,eccentricity and round-like features.The discriminant function of the morphological characteristics was established,and its efficiency was tested.It is concluded that the morphological characteristics can describe the pest features and discriminate these three insect pests effectively.
