Image matching method based on SIFT algorithm

Abstract:

Based on the Brown's theory,an effective method for the image matching was presented.Firstly Gauss filter and Wallis filter for pre-processing were used,then feature points were extracted by a simplified SIFT algorithm,finally the exact matching of the images was achieved with a bidirectional matching algorithm.The experimental results on layout with defect show that the method is of great advantage of achieving more matching points,being more accurate and leaving behind no duplicate point.Finally,the method is used in automatical detection of net and the result is good,and for the layout optimization of foundation.
