Abstract:

A new mathematical model based on optical measurement and screenspot images is proposed, which can be used to the measurement of aircraft attitude parameters. First, the highspeed cameras and the fixed screens on the test site are calibrated using laser tracker; the conversion relationships between various coordinate systems are established. Then, the laser cooperation object, fixed on the surface of aircraft, projects the laser beams on the screens, and the cameras synchronously record the positions of lightspots. The lightspots change with the aircraft attitude; hence the sequences of the recorded images can be used to calculate the attitude parameters of aircraft. The error sources of this model are analyzed and its measurement accuracy is estimated using Monte Carlo simulation. Experiment results show that the measurement error of each attitude obeys normal distribution approximately, which is no lager than 3′ when the rotation angles of the three axes are within certain ranges.
