Abstract: In order to explore the status quo and development trend of electronic payment research, an analysis of electronic payment research hotspots is performed. We use bibliometric method to further grasp the development status of electronic payment field from aspects of research overview, research strength and discipline distribution in the field of electronic payment, and uses the method of scientific knowledge mapping to visualize the research hotspots. The results show that China and the United States produce the most papers in the electronic field. The main output institutions are Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and Central South University. The research focuses on the theory and practical application of the security of electronic payment system.
