Research on Video Image Extraction Based on FPGA

Abstract:  In order to improve the speed of ContourExtractor2DimageFilter algorithm and achieve real-time image contour extraction,FPGA ( Field-Programmable Gate Array) is chosen as the main processing chip to study how to implement the hardware part of ContourExtractor2DimageFilter algorithm based on Xilinx Spartan-3 series FPGA design. In order to improve the speed of the algorithm and the real-time image contour extraction,more effective computer systems are used to interpret images,to achieve a similar human vision system,to understand the external world.
