Abstract: To provide references for China B3G parameters design and channel model, measurements with 20 MHz bandwidth at 58 GHz frequency have been performed in outdoor environments. By analyzing the measurement data, the empirical channel characteristics such as path loss exponent, shadow fading, rms delay spread and rms azimuth spread have been extracted. In LOS(Line of Sight) environment, the path loss exponent is 253 and it is 33~38 in NOLS(No Line of Sight) environment. By modifying the COST231-WI model the receive power in the measurement area can be accurately predicted. The RMS(Root Mean Square) delay spread is within 05~08 μs.The RMS azimuth spread is decided by the transmitter antenna height and the propagation circumstance.

Key words: shadow fading, root mean square(RMS) delay spread, root mean square(RMS) azimuth spread, channel measurement, path-loss
