GIS-Based Suitability Partition of Agricultural Ecology in Jilin Province

Abstract: To take full advantage of the previous experience and GIS technology, the authors collected precipitation, temperature, and soil from 1975 to 2004 based on the information from field surveys. Combining with local geographical situation, a comprehensive analysis of these data was made. The research shows that the maize is the best suitable in the central and southern Jilin Province, suitable in the central areas, such as Jilin City, Liaoyuan, and less suitable in the northwestern Jilin Province and most parts of Yanbian and Baishan, not suitable in northwestern Jilin Province.
