Coordinated control for mode-switch of parallel hybrid electric vehicle

The different modeswitch processes were investigated during the real-vehicle tune-up tests of a brand Jiefang FAW parallel hybrid electric urban bus. A coordinated control strategy based on the electric motor assistance was put forward to suppress the torque surge in the mode-switch process. A corresponding model was built on a combined platform of MATLAB and AVL/Cruise and a simulation was performed. The results show that introducing the coordinated control strategy reduces the torque surge during the mode-switch process and improves the vehicle drivability.

Influence of vehicle shape on the aerodynamic characteristics of intelligent vehicle platoon

To study the aerodynamic characteristics of the platoon of vehicle with different shapes in the intelligent transport system and the influence of the longitudinal spacing between the vehicles on the aerodynamic characteristics of the vehicle platoon, the numerical simulation method was adopted to research the aerodynamic characteristics of the 5car platoon with the notchback, fastback and squareback cars in 6 longitudinal spacings to provide a theoretical foundation for intelligent control of the vehicle shape and spacing in the platoon. The research results indicat that the average ratioes of the drag reduction for the platoons composed of all three kinds of vehicle shape were in the range of 10%~40%, indicating that the platoon driving can save the fuel consumption obviously and decrease the exhaust emissions. The drag reduction of the notchback car platoon is the most, that of the squareback is the next, and the fastback is the least. With the decrease of the longitudinal spacing, the lift of vehicles increases, and their stability worsens.

Numerical simulation of influence of guide cowl on light-duty van aerodynamic characteristics

The theory and the method of the computational fluid dynamics were applied to the numerical simulation of the external flow field around the simplified model of a certain domestic lightduty van with and without the guide cowl on its cab roof. The RNG k-ε turbulence model as well as the structural grid of hexahedral cells were used in the simulation. The aerodynamic characteristics for the two cases were calculated including the pressure distribution on the van surface, the velocity vector distribution and the aerodynamic drag coefficients. The comparative analysis results show that introduction of the guide cowl improves obviously the aerodynamic characteristics of the van, which are in good agreement with the experimental results.

Error analysis of measurement model and calibration method for automobile caster

To improve the measuring precision of the automobile caster by a linear model on the fourwheel aligner, a precise measuring model was built. The model showed that the factors affecting the caster measuring precision are the kingpin inclination, the camber, and the turntable angle. the measuring error caused by the kingpin inclination was analyzed and it was concluded that it is impossible to measure the caster precisely with the linear model when the kingpin inclination is more than 10°. To calibrate the measuring results of the kingpin obliquity on the fourwheel aligner, a calibration apparatus was developed based on the principle of independent acquisition of the kingpin obliquities in the vertical and horizontal planes of the automobile. The experiment results show that the measuring errors are more than 10′ and these are zero point error and the nonlincar system error when the two obliquity angles of the kingpin are more than 15°, and the system errors increase as the kingpin obliquities increase. The automolile caster measuring results calibration problem has thus been solved.

Fuzzy control algorithm for wheel loader steering by wire system

Taking a wheel loader steering by wire system as the object aiming at the features of the system,i.e., the big variation ranges of the steering resistance and the input flow, and its serious nonlinearity, the on-line self-tuning of the parameters of the PID controller was achieved for the different conditions of the systems by means of the fuzzy control theory. The structure of the steering by wire system, the mathematical model of the control system, the design process of the fuzzy controller and its control rules were introduced in detail. Both the simulated and tested results show that introduction of the fuzzy sell-tuning PID controller results in speeding up the system response, widening the frequency band, enhancing the antijamming ability, being able to satisfy the requirement of the actual steering systems.

The flow chart of a program to control the cold start process of an electronic controlled diesel engine was designed, the control strategies of the modes, including the start fuel supply selfamending mode, the accelerator position amending mode, the battery storage protecting mode, and the intake-air preheating and postheating mode, were suggested. These control strategies were proved to be able to ensure the cold start capability and performance of the electronic controlled diesd engine, providing a reference for the corresponding professionals.

Although there are quite a lot of methods for formaldehyde measurement, it is difficult to collect effectively the formaldehyde emission from the engine exhaust gas. Based on the fact that formaldehyde can dissolve in water at any proportion, a formaldehyde collection equipment was developed by water dissolution technique. The formaldehyde concentration in the engine exhaust emissions was measured by a spectrophotometer, and its feasibility was validated by tests. The formaldehyde emission characteristics from an engine fuelled by gasolinemethanol blends with different blending proportions under different working conditions were investigaled by the developed equipment and suggested technique. The results show that the formaldehyde emission is direct proportional to the methanol fraction in the fuel blend, and in inverse proportion with the engine speed and load.

Size distributions of PM emissions from heavy-duty diesel vehicles on road

The PM emissions from the heavy-duty vehicles which were compliant to the China emission standard stageⅡand stage Ⅲ were tested on the road with the city bus driving cycle. The particle size distributions of the PM emissions in the range of 0.007~10 μm were measured by an electrical low pressure impactor. The test results showed that the average number concentration of the PM emissions with the size under 0.3 μm from the stage Ⅲ vehicles was higher by 23.8% than that from the stage Ⅱ vehicles. For the particles with the size above 0.3 μm, the average mass concentration of the PM emissions from the stage Ⅲ vehicles was lower by 65.4% than that from the stage Ⅱ vehicles, and average number concentration was lower by 27.4%.

Novel AHP algorithm to evaluate adaptability of transport system to urban sustainable development

Taking the transport system and the urban sustainable development as the targets of research, a novel analytic hierarchy process(AHP) algorithm to evaluate the adaptability of the transport system to the urban sustainable development was proposed. On the basis of analyzing the weak points of the traditional AHP method, sixty factors from the social, economical, ecological and transport domains were selected to form a evaluation index system. The singular value decomposition(SVD) method was used to improve the weighting factor calculation of the matrix with acceptable consistency. For the matrix with unacceptable consistency, the far and near degree was used to identify the coordinates of the significant elements and make its mean amendment of the direct mutual oppsition. A simulation work was performed for Shandong province, and the results indicated that the adaptability of the transport system to the urban development is decaying, providing a warning for the decisionmaking of the administrative officials.

Short-term traffic volumes forecasting of road network based on principal component analysis and support vector machine

A scheme to forecast shortterm traffic volumes of a road network is presented. This scheme combines the principal component analysis and the support vector regression. First, the traffic volume data of multiroadcrosssections acquired from a road network are turned into several time series data by the principal component analysis. Then, these principal component data are used to train the support vector machines, and a genetic algorithm is applied to optimize the parameters of the support vector machines. After the training and optimization, by inputting required data to the support vector machines, the principal components are obtained as the outputs. These outputs are then transformed into the forecasting data of the shortterm traffic volumes. A case study is carried out to validate the scheme. The traffic volume data from seven road crosssections of an urban expressway are used. The forecasting results by this scheme are much better than that by the schemes of single road crosssection.

Bicycle following behavior at signalized intersection

The bicycle following behavior was described firstly, and the parameters about the bicycle traffic were collected by the video experiments at the signalized intersection. A series of bicycle following models with 3 different BP neural network structures were built considering the influences of some critical parameters in the bicycle traffic, such as the distance between bicycles, the relative speed, the acceleration of the leading bicycle, the transversal interference, and the character of the bicycle rider, on the acceleration of the following bicycle. Based on the comparative analysis of the training error of the different BP neural networks, a bicycle following model was proposed. This model can better reflect the stimulusresponse relationship between the leading and the following bicycles in the bicycle colony at the signalized intersection. This is of reference for analyzing the microscopic characteristics of the mixed urban traffic and performing corresponding microscopic simulation.

Laser buckling method to measure interfacial toughness of chromium-plating coating

To measure the interfacial toughness of strong Cr-plating coating on substrate, experiment of laser periodical scanning into the surface of Cr-plating coating on steel substrate is carried out using CO2 continuous laser. It is observed that this mode of heating can induce chromium coating to periodically buckle along the laser scanning direction. Based on this observation, incorporating the theory of coating buckling deformation, the laser buckling method is presented. This method can be used to measure the interfacial toughness of Cr-plating coating with the help of just one buckling unit. As a case study, the interfacial toughness of the chromium coating on steel substrate is measured by this method.

Finite element simulation of hydrogen blistering of steel 16MnR serving in wet H2S environment

With respect to the unpredictability problem of the steel cracking induced by the MnS inclusion under the wet H2S environment, the by hydrogen blistering(HB) caused by the hydrogen diffusion into and accumulation in side the MnS inclusion in the steel 16 MnR was numerically simulated using the finite element program ABAQUS. The hydrogen concentration histories and the HB morphology were obtained. The critical hydrogen concentration and pressure as well as the fracture failure time by the HB were predicted. The results show that the diffusion of the hydrogen into and its accumulation inside the interface between the MnS and the substrate in the wet H2S environment create a high hydrogen pressure, which causes the plastic deformation and crack propagation in the material, results in the HB. The more the MnS inclusion, the longer the inclusion shape, the higher the hydrogen concentration, the greater the HB susceptivity is. The simulated results provide a reference for the predictive maintenance of the steel equipments serving in the hydrogen environment.

Study of the thermoelectric properties of PbTe doped with Bi2Te3 at high-pressure and high-temperature

N-type lead telluride compounds (PbTe) doped with Bi2Te3were prepared under 3 GPa and 1200 K by HPHT technology. The electrical resistivity, Seebeck coefficient and thermal conductivity of PbTe doped with Bi2Te3 were studied at room temperature. Results show that the figure-of-merit,Z, increases dramatically first, then decreases slowly with the increase in Bi2Te3, and the maximum value of Z is 9.3×10-4 K-1 when mole fraction of PbTe is 1×10-4 . This value is about 20% higher than that prepared at ambient pressure.

Calculation and analysis of internal characteristics of torque converter-coupling

The internal characteristics of the torque converter were calculated from its tested external characteristics by the method of proration. The distributions of energy loss and static pressure in each impeller under the typical working conditions were calculated after determining the circulated fluid flow. Taking the type of 4L60ED245 torque convertercoupling for an example, the internal characteristics calculated by the suggested method were compared with those calculated by the onedimensional theory, showing that the precision of the results calculated by the method of proration is higher, while the pressure variation trends at the inlet and exit calculated by both methods are similar.

Method of multiple scales in solving nonlinear dynamic differential equations of gear systems

The dynamic model which describes the torsional vibration behaviors of gear system was introduced accurately in this paper. The differential equation of gear system nonlinear dynamics exhibiting combined nonlinearity influence such as timevarying stiffness, tooth backlash and dynamic transmission error (DTE) was proposed. The theory of multiple scales method was used to solve nonlinear differential equations of gear systems and the frequency response equation was obtained. The fact that the approximate analytical solution by using the method of multiple scales is in good agreement with the exact solutions by numerically integrating differential equations and it proved that the method of multiple scales is one of the most frequently used methods in solving differential equations, especially for large and complicated differential equations.

采用差异演化算法对高速储能飞轮的形状进行优化,以实现储能飞轮具有最大的质量能量密度,并且以在高速旋转的状态下满足强度要求为设计目标。针对差异演化算法进化速度依赖种群个体差异的特点,提出权重因子随种群聚集度变化而变化的策略,并增加混沌变异操作,以提高算法跳出局部最优的能力。构建了仿真优化程序,通过Visual C++6.0调用通用有限元软件ANSYS来计算飞轮的应力分布。通过优化计算得到了满足强度要求的质量能量密度最大的飞轮形状,与同质量的圆盘飞轮相比,转动惯量提高了28.39 %。

Prediction of milling distortion for aero-thin-walled components

The aero-thin-walled components are characterized by the thinness and its variability of the wall and low rigidity, they are liable to distortion during the machining process, so it is difficult to guarantee their machining precision. In view of the fact, to predict and control effectively their machining distortion, calculations of the milling distortion were performed for the aerothinwalled components by the 3-D finite element method considering the milling forces, the clamping forces and the initial residual stress field, and the behaviors of the milling distortion were revealed. The predicted distortion behavior was verified by the milling test and the positive result was obtained. The study is helpful to the prediction and the control of the machining distortion for the thin-walled components.

The selection of the favorable cooperative partners of the supply chain is an effective production organization method. In order to optimize the decisionmaking, a model for the product mapping and sorting and its production supply chain system were built. To solve the problem of selecting the supply chain partners, an index system to evaluate the partnership was induced. A mathematical model of the multiobjective decisionmaking was built using the analytic hierarchy process(AHP), and a real case of product development was calculated and analyzed. The results can reflect objectively the real situation, and be helpful to the enterprise to realize the production agile manufacture and the production organization optimization.

Bending fatigue behavior of RC crane beam strengthened with carbon fiber reinforced plastic

To understand the fatigue behavior of damaged RC beams strengthened with CFRP, three T-shaped beams strengthened with CFRP and one contrast beam were tested. The effects of the strengthening mode and the load level on the bending fatigue behavior of the beams were investigated. Experiment results show that, with CFRP strengthening, the width of the crack is reduced by 50.2% ~ 66%, and the development of the crack are eased, the stress of the reinforcing steel bar is reduced by 24.1% ~ 28.2%, and the stiffness of the beam is raised by 14.9% ~ 16.1%. Based on the results, an accurate model of the stiffness calculation and the SN curves are obtained. The model and the SN curves can be used as references in engineering practice. Suggestions on the fatigue design of CFRP strengthened beams are given.

Nonlinear math′s model on Cu-Zn alloy bionic coupling hydrophilic surface

Patankar model has been used on Cu-Zn alloy surface to fabricate bionic coupling structure by means of laser photograph technology. Hydrophilic capacity has been improved 62% or the apparent contact angle decarse from 82.5°to 31.5°. The results show that the relationship between unit character parameter and apparent contact angle does not keep the same step with Wenzel or CassisBaxter model. Distortion exist on linear regress model. Nonlinear math′s model characterizes the relation between unit character parameter and apparent contact angle.

Relationship between non-smooth appearance and wettability of plant leaf surface

The plant leaf surface is generally characterized by microscopic or macroscopic non-smooth appearance, and is mostly water-repellent. From the engineering point of view, applying the method of multi-contrast experiment and the typical analysis in combination, selecting some plants in Changchun area as samples to study their non-smooth appearance of the functional leaf surface, their wettability (characterized by the surface contact angle) by means of a stereoscopic microscope, a scanning electron microscope, and the interface contact angle measurement. It was found that the relationship between the nonsmooth appearance of leaf surface and its wettability is very strong, and the shape and distribution of the non-smooth elements are the decisive factors. The surface with regular distribution of convex elements presents large contact angle, strong water repellence, and good self-clearing ability, and that of hairy non-smooth elements takes the nextplace. The study is beneficial to the surface bionic engineering and the surface design of composite materials.

Facing the disadvantages in existing middleware technology, that is neither able to effectively support the abstraction, encapsulation, and extension of applications with distinct domain features, nor to simultaneously satisfy the requirements of efficient developing and running intelligent Web applications(IWAs), an intelligent middleware solution which can effectively support the developing and running different kinds of IWAs was proposed by sufficiently analyzing current middleware technologies and Web based intelligent applications, implementing the cooperation among distributed, heterogeneous and intelligent components and the accessing, reusing and sharing of heterogeneous knowledge. Based on above-mentioned solution, a middleware based IWA integrated developing platform was developed as well as a set of expert systems, which were applied to different areas and proved to be feasible in practices.

A publicly verifiable vector space secret sharing scheme

A verifiable vector space secret sharing scheme is proposed, whose security relies on the security of Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC). This scheme is characterized as follows. The precondition of (t, n)threshold secret sharing scheme that all assignees′ purview must be the same is generalized. A verifiable infrastructure is provided, which can be used to detect the cheaters from dealers and assignees. The shared key distributed by the dealer is encrypted based on ECC to enhance the security. Meanwhile the length of the key of ECC is much shorter than that of RSA cryptography. So the computation cost and communication cost of the proposed scheme are lower, which are valuable in applications with limited memory volume and communication bandwidth.

P2P-Grid reference model based on trust value

A P2P-Grid model based on reference of trust value is designed in P2P-Grid environment in order to solve how to find a trustworthy peer provided service in mixed P2P and Grid (P2P&Grid) pattern. The outcome of neck in network is avoided by constructing super node, partitioning the network logically and transmitting the trust value in adaptive mode. The applicant for grid service gets global trust value referenced form super node and computes final trust value, and then, the most trustworthy peers would complete the computation so as to ensure quality of service. Analysis and simulation experiments show that P2PGrid model based on trust value is able to solve trust problems in P2P-Grid easily and effectively and this model is of favorable feasibility.

A secure, efficient and distributed group key management scheme is presented and its security is demonstrated. The scheme is based hierarchical key tree and multi-party key agreement. It possesses the desired properties, such as key independence and key statelessness. Analysis and comparison show that the ternary key tree is most applicable to group key management. The proposed key management scheme is efficient regarding the costs of computation, storage and communication.

Implementation of resource request middleware based on agent

To deal with the resource request problem, we propose a middleware realization method based on agent. The information of user jobs and requirements are safely transmitted to the grid database by the client through https protocols. Then they trigger the grid request broker to act correspondingly. The resource request middleware based on agent is responsible for querying the resource information sever, finding the appropriate resource for the users from the whole grid, and scheduling the jobs submitted by the users. The grid sever (the resource provider) dynamically registers resource information to the information sever. By querying the information sever, the resource request broker can get all sorts of realtime resources in the current grid. It can also query the grid sever directly to get the information in the current grid. The work mechanism and implementation techniques of the middleware based on agent are also illuminated.

Answer extraction scheme for Chinese question answering system based on pattern learning

Answer extraction is the key of the Chinese questioning system. Normally answer extraction mainly depends on the pattern of the answer sentence. Since the pattern of the answer sentence is obtained by experts based on the language rules, so it strongly relies on the experts' language knowledge. To overcome this limit, a scheme is proposed to gain the pattern of the answer sentence by pattern learning. The scheme takes the advantage of searching engine to retrieve related documents of question. From these documents the sentences that include the answers are extracted. Then the types of the questions and answers are marked to form questionanswer training corpus to the questions of different types. Then by statistic learning method, the candidates of sentence patterns are abstracted and the weights of the patterns are calculated. Thus, based on the weights the patterns of the answer sentences to the questions of different types are obtained. Answer extraction result of the factoid question shows that the experimental MRAR is up to 0.28, which indicates the effectiveness of the proposed pattern learning scheme. The patterns gained by pattern learning cover the normal answer sentences.

To get the initialized background from the training sequence with foreground objects, a new background initialization algorithm was proposed based on clustering classifier. In this method, all stable sub-intervals in the training sequence were located for each pixel as possible background. Then a classify data set was constructed by the median values of each subinterval. A background subset was obtained from the data set by unsupervised clustering. Accordingly the initialized background was obtained from the background subset. By experiments, the proposed method was compared with the median method and the sample consensus method under different traffic conditions. Results show that this method is robust, overcomes the influence of slow moving big objects, and tolerates over 50% foreground pixels and noises.

A parallel collision detection algorithm was presented. In this algorithm the balance bounding volumes were established using the divide and conquer strategy. Then the task trees were built by traversing the bounding volumes. The collision detection was accelerated by applying pipelining technique to traverse the task trees. This algorithm also applied the multithreads and can be run on both single processor computer and multiprocessor computer.

Heuristic quadrangular segmentation algorithm for triangular meshes

A new algorithm was proposed to partition triangular meshes into quadrangular segmentation automatically. By this approach, first the triangular meshes are segmented according to the normal vectors of the triangle. Then, the resultant segmentations are partitioned into regions with three or more sides based on Euclidean distance. After the segmentation of multisided region into subregions with three or four sides, the final quadrangular segmentations are obtained by adjusting the triangular regions according to their topology sequences. The algorithm is able to accommodate the geometric characteristics of the model to partition triangular meshes into quadrangular regions with appropriate sizes. The final segmentation matches the features of the model well.

For rheonomically constrained manipulator systems, a robust position/force control algorithm was designed on the basis of wavelet network for the approximation of nonlinear part and unmodelled dynamics of robotic systems. A compensation term was used to simplify the wavelet network structure, and the control algorithm can guarantee the system robustness and solve force/position control problem. Theoretical analysis and simulation were carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

A new complete parametric approach to solve matrix equation EΠS=AΠ+BKΠ+BL+P was proposed. By using this method and the general inverse theory, and without system regularity condition, a complete parametric expression in the feedback gains K and L were established. This approach can avoid inverse and differential calculations with better numerical stability, reduce the complexity of traditional methods when using computer calculation for the solutions, and provide convenience for the application in controller construction and multi-purpose design problems. A numerical example demonstrates the effect of the proposed method.

The guaranteed cost controller design problem of the systems with timevarying uncertain networkedinduced delay and polytopic uncertainties was studied. By the introduction of two slack matrices for the separation of Lyapunov matrix and system matrix, a criterion for the time delay compensation of guaranteed cost controller was obtained, and on the basis of this criterion a robust state feedback guaranteed cost controller was designed. When the criterion was used in the above mentioned systems, vertexdependent Lyapunov function was obtained so that a less conservative design was realized. Additionally, an iterative algorithm was developed in order to get optimum solution. A numerical example shows the effect of this proposed approach.

Optimal grasping force computation for multi-fingered robot hand

Real-time grasping force optimization is a difficult problem because the friction forces between dextrous robot fingers and an object are nonlinear constrains. In this paper, we present a general solution for the optimization problem of multi-fingered grasping force. The method is based on the Lagrange multipliers. The initial grasping forces that satisfy frictional constrains can be obtained autonomously by adjusting the weighting factors of the normal forces of individual fingers. By incorporating continuous gradient flows, the optimal grasping forces of individual fingers for stable grasping can be quickly determined in real-time. Simulation results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method.

In order to improve the reliability and intelligence of the excavator, a fault diagnosis approach of its hydraulic system based on an auto-regressive with extra inputs (ARX) model and the fuzzy C-means (FCM) clustering was proposed. This approach does fault diagnosis by two steps: fault feature extraction and fault classification. In the first step, the ARX models are established for known faults and unknown faults. The auto-regressive parameters extracted from the model are regarded as the fault feature. In the second step, the FCM clustering is used as the fault feature classifier to identify unknown faults. Both the simulation and experiment results showed that the proposed fault diagnosis approach can be effectively applied to the excavator hydraulic system.

To meet the demand of complex control, a new CMMO model with priority flexible constraints is developed, and the corresponding processing strategy based on fuzzy method is also presented. The processing strategy can not only guarantee to realize the outputs of the control system in priority order, but also make them in the optimal fuzzy satisfying degree. By some simulation results, the feasibility of the presented method is testified.

Based on the fact that the Elman model of neural network toolbox in MATLAB can approximate any nonlinear continuous function and reflect dynamic features of the system,a method to predict the width spread in the medium plate mill by the Elman neural network was presented. The predictions by the Elman neural network and those by the BP neural network were compared through examples. The results show that the Elman neural network converges more quickly, and its accuracy is higher than the BP neural network.

A fast algorithm for MPEG video segmentation based on macroblock (MB) types was presented. The proposed method can detect scene boundaries through using various macroblock type of Bframe and Pframe in MPEG video flow in order to realize accurate scene change positioning. Those information can be extracted from the encoded bitstream without decompression so that it can satisfies high speed detection requirement. Simulation results on different sequences show that the proposed algorithm is effective and accurate for the scene change boundaries detection in NPEG video.

A grey target theory based method for state assessment of power transformer

State assessment provides the bases for power transformer maintenance. A new method to recognize the state of power transformer without the standard fault model is proposed. This method introduces the grey target theory into the state assessment of power transformer by regarding the fault system as a typical grey system. In combination with the technique of Dissolved Gases Analyses (DSA), the steps of the arithmetic for state assessment are given. In this arithmetic the equal weights of dissolved gases used in existing arithmetic are replaced by the variable weights, which are more approximate to the real state of power transformer in practice. The variable weights of dissolved gases are determined by the analysis method of grey contribution degree. Experiment results show that this method can be used to recognize the state of power transformer in the absence of standard fault model.

Since right segmentation, clear and continuous edge feature retrieval are important for the analysis and interpretation of SAR images, a new segmentation and edge detection algorithm for SAR images was presented by analyzing regularization method. In this algorithm, the images were preprocessed with a modified regularization technique first, and then after the statistic characteristic analysis, the interested target and shadow region of these images were segmented, at last edge detection was realized by windowing. Comparing to the traditional methods, experimental results with MSTAR dataset show that the algorithm can well segment images and maintain detail feature of the target region.

Based on Logistic map, chaotic frequency hopping codes were produced by using return map and the idea of symbolic dynamics. The obtained codes have better performance compared to the conventional ones and are immune to prediction and interception. Furthermore, chaotic frequency hopping CSK and OFDM communication systems were designed and realized with the proposed codes. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the systems possess good behavior in anti-jamming and reduction of both noise and multipath interference.

This paper presents a video object extraction method based on chip of Blackfin533 DSP (Digital Signal Processor). The high order statistics of multiframe difference accumulation are used in the video object extraction. The algorithm makes full use of the DSP (Digital Signal Processor)highperformance in the data processing. The experiments have testified that the algorithm can meet many application needs in the field of image processing and has good application prospects.

Combining the state space model with crosshighorder cumulant, the paper proposes a TlsHankel matrix decomposition method of crosshighorder cumulant based on the state space model of harmonic retrieval. The method takes advantage of flexibility and convenience of the state space model. It also proposes a new way to harmonic retrieval problem. The simulation results showed that the proposed spectrum estimation method is better than the Esprit method of autohighorder cumulant in the identification rate and the stability under the conditions of colored noise background and low signaltonoise ratio as well as in the ability to overcome the colored noise disturbance.

Precoding can be used in MIMO communication system to combat inter-symbol interference. The performance of precoding is related with the channel state information at transmitter. The difference between channel state information at transmitter and true channel state information should be considered in design. In this paper, a new TomlinsonHarashima (TH) precoding scheme which considers the difference is proposed. The results of simulation show that this new THP outperforms the conventional MMSE-THP.

Since traditional TCP timer is fundamentally inappropriate for ad hoc network with random abrupt round-trip time (RTT), a new TCP timing scheme based on rtt_active timer was proposed. Theoretical analysis and NS2 based simulation show that this scheme compared with rtt_active timer can much more quickly respond to network changing, reasonably set retransmission timeout value for TCP segment and increase TCP throughput.

The theory and algorithm of the Least Square Support Vector Machine (LSSVM) are applied in the trend forecasting of gas path parameters of aero engine. First, the protocol and content of the Aircraft Communication Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) report are analyzed, the parallel subsystem is constructed for realtime decoding and storing the engine condition report, and the samples for online model training are acquired. Then, the Final Prediction Error (FPE) principle is used to optimize the embedding dimension, the model selection is conducted using Pattern Search Method. An online forecasting model based on the LSSVM is established. The data link between aircraft and ground is established to acquire the realtime data of the gas path. The online model and the realtime data are used to predict the trend of the gas path parameters. Comparison with the ANN model shows that both one step forecasting accuracy and multistep forecasting accuracy by the online model are higher than that by ANN model. The proposed online model is suitable for prognosis of gas turbine engine.

Treatment of micro-organic polluted water by DAF and sedimentation process

The turbidity, UV254, CODMn, TOC, THMFP and algal removals efficiency were studied by dissolved air flotation (DAF) and sedimentation process in a water treatment plant (WTP) of Tianjin, China. By the experiment, the suitable process to treat the typical north China source water and the rules of pollutants removal were determined. A pilot model with a capacity of 5 cubic meters per hour was constructed. During the treatment of the low temperature and low turbidity source water, the turbidity removal by DAF process was 25% higher than that by sedimentation process, and 8.4% higher in other periods. During the treatment of high temperature and algal bloom source water, the algal removal by DAF process was 9.5% higher than that by sedimentation process. The removal rule for organic mater was almost same in all periods, which was 5% higher by DAF process than that by sedimentation process. The removal for turbidity, organic matter, and algae can reach 97%, 40% and 94% respectively. DAF process adapts to treat the microorganic pollutants water in north China, and the treatment efficiency was better than sedimentation process.
