Abstract: Self-consistent field model was used to study the phase separation and gelation of physically associating polymer solution. The variations of the locations of the phase separation point and the gelation point with the polymer concentration and interaction parameter were investigated. The effect of polymerization on the transition was also studied. The formation of the gel network has a significant effect on the phase separation of the system.
