Singular Value Perturbation and Its Application in Vibration Control of Intelligent Structures

Abstract:

A technique for determining optimal locations for actuators of intelligent structures is presented on the basis of the 1st order singular value perturbations of controllability.With this method the optimal placements of actuators of the intelligent structures can be selected and the impulse response of structures due to different locations of actuators with the same control law is analyzed.A numerical example is given to illustrate the applications of the method.
