Fuzzy integral feature based algorithm for moving infrared object detection

Abstract:

A novel moving object detection algorithm is presented, which is based on the intensity and texture integral feature of the infrared image of the object. The algorithm applies Sugeno fuzzy measure and fuzzy integral to integrate the intensity and texture feature of local binary pattern, and classifies the foreground and background. It can accurately detect the object under complex background, such as picture inversion and low signaltonoise ratio. Experiment results indicate that moving object can be correctly detected by this algorithm, which ensures further object recognizing and tracking.
