Influence of molding press on mechanical properties of CF+G/PEEK composite material

Abstract:

The CF+G/PEEK composite material was prepared by molding press. The mechanical performance of the material was evaluated by measuring the tensile strength and impact toughness. The effect of molding press parameters on the mechanical properties of CF+G/PEEK composite material was discussed and analyzed. By experiments the better molding press parameters were obtained as follows: heating temperature of 390 ℃, heat holding time of 20 min, pressure holding temperature of 320 ℃, holding pressure of 43 MPa and pressure holding time of 15 min.
