Catalytic Synthesis of Xylene-methylaldehyde Resin with Heteropoly Acid

Abstract: The xylene-methylaldehyde is prepared from xylene and polymethylaldehyde with the heteropoly acid catalyst. The influence of the reaction conditions on the activity has been investigated. The catalyst can be separated easily and continue to be used in the following reaction.
