Face tracking and facial expression recognition system based on active machine vision

Abstract: A human face tracking and expression recognition system was built based on the active machine vision platform and the related experiments were performed. The system architecture and its key functional modules to realize the facial expression recognition were described. The system detects the human face area selected by the attention, tracks the face by controlling with PTZ, recognizes the facial expression real-timely. A lot of face tracking experiments were carried out on the system, including those in complex and simple background, proving the effectiveness of the system.
