Expression capture of facial key points in animation production

Abstract:

A method of expression capture of facial key points in the field of animation production was proposed.It only used an ordinary color camera for video capture,used the methods of image processing and pattern recognition on each frame to identify the actor facial key points (eyebrows,eyes,mouth,etc.) and their physical coordinates in the image.Associated with the animated character,facial expressions of the actor could be embodied with the character real-time.With the characteristics of simple equipment and high real-time,the efficiency of animation production is improved significantly.
