摘要:

基于传统shadow volume方法提出一种改进算法, 该算法通过采用基于八叉树的阴影体筛选策略和基于z值的阴影淡出策略解决了传统shadow volume算法对大场景效率较低的问题. 实验结果表明, 改进方法能有效减少需要渲染的阴影体数量, 提高阴影渲染效率, 同时保证较好的画面效果.

Abstract:

We proposed an improved method of shadow volume. This method  solves the inefficacy when shadow volume is applied to large scenes by selecting volumes based on octree and fading shadow with z values. Experiments show that our method can effectively cut down the numbers of volumes to render and improve rendering efficiency upon keeping good graphic effect. The result of this paper makes it feasible to render shadows for large scene via shadow volume algorithm.
