MCNP Simulation of γ Spectra of NaI(Tl) Detector

Abstract: The Monte Carlo method for Photon-Electron’s transport was used to calculate the γ spectra of NaI(Tl) detector by peak broadening of electronic pulse height tally. Then the peak-to-total ratios in the NaI(Tl)detector to various γ-ray were calculated, and the results are fit in well with the experiment data. Finallythe simulated γ spectra of different energy are explained.
