Abstract: A sensitive and reliable method, based on the amplification of AMG gene by fluorescent-labeled primers, was established to identify the sex of arch aeological human remains. Using this method, the sex was determined for five s ke letal remains, and the results are consistent with those of morpholo gical judgment. This sensitive and reliable method has a high value in forensic medicine, anthro pology, and archaeology.
