Syntheses and Properties of Phenol-pyridine Metal Complexes as Emitting Materials for Electroluminescence

Abstract: A novel blue light emitting boron complex PPBF2(PP: 2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-pyridine) was synthesized and used for the fabrication of organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs). PPBF2 shows a strong photoluminescence at 440 nm in solution or solid state. The OLEDs with PPBF2 as emitting material show different colors, which is dependent on different device structures.
