Abstract:
Based on the advantages of available micro plasma technology, our modified microwave plasma reactor was used for the degradation of two principle air pollutants, formaldehyde (HCHO), sulfur dioxide (SO2). The experimental results show that HCHO as well as SO2 were degraded significantly. The effects of the discharge current, carrier gas flowrate and types, inlet HCHO and SO2 concentration and pH were also investigated and their contributions to the degradation were explained.
