Abstract:

We utilized sol\|gel method to synthesize rutile TiO2 directly from NH3·H2O and Ti(SO4)2 at 70 ℃ temperature. According to the XRD, TEM, Raman results of the sample  contains single rutile TiO2 structure. The size of the nanoparticals is approximately 20 nm. Rutile TiO2 particles have far better photodegradation efficiency on rhodamine B dyes  than rutile TiO2 particles obtained by thermal treatment, but a little lower photodegradation efficiency than P25 TiO2 particles do.
