Abstract:
The chaotic behaviors generated by an erbiumdoped fiber (EDF) singlering lasers(EDFSRL) were investigated experimentally via the delay feedback method. The chaotic characteristics of this system were studied by observing the time series and power spectrum. An optical delay feedback loop was added in the system. Thus, by changing the intensity and retardation time of the optical delay feedback signal, the freedom of this EDFSRL system was increased. The experimental results indicate that the erbiumdoped fiber singlering laser system can generate chaos through the perioddoubling bifurcation route under the experimental conditions selected by us.
