Abstract: A new hand vein recognition method was presented based on Bandelet transformation. By this method, feature points in the vein image can be extracted by Bandelet transform, which form the feature vectors for token vein texture features. The similarity is obtained by calculating the correlation coefficient betweenthe feature vectors of tested sample and target sample. We tested the method using the sample database built up by self-made collection device and the experimental results were given.
