Abstract:

The influence of Ag loading on the activity of Ag/γ-Al2O3 catalyst with variable Ag loading prepared by equivalent volume impregnation method to catalyze the hydrogenation of coal slime was investigated. The structure of the catalyst was analyzed by XRD, TPR, XPS and SEM. Experiment shows that there is little difference in the catalytic activities of Ag/γ-Al2O3 with varying Ag loading in a range of 600~900 ℃. However, when Ag loading was 5%, the activity of Ag/γ-Al2O3 increased in a range of 900~1 100 ℃. The XRD and SEM analyses show that when Ag loading in Ag/γ-Al2O3 was 5%, the Ag loading species were well dispersed in the carrier. The investigations of H2-TPR show that the reduction peak of 5% Ag/γ-Al2O3 did not exist; the results indicate that 5% Ag/γ-Al2O3 has been completely reduced to elemental sliver.
