Improvied Method of Conventional Ultrasonic Water Extraction of Ginsenosides

Abstract: We established a diluted acetic acid extraction method and compared the yields of total ginsenosides and nine monoginsenosides (ginsenoside -Rb1,-Rb2,-Rb3,-Rc,-Rd,-Re,-Rf,-Rg1 and -Rg2) via our method with those via the conventional ultrasonic water extraction method, after total ginsenosides and nine monoginsenosides were measured with HPLC after purified by the macroporous resin method. The results show the dilutedacetic acid extraction method is better than the conventional ultrasonic water extraction method, the totalginsenosides and monoginsenosides yields via the diluted acetic acid extraction method were significantly increasedcompared with those via the conventional ultrasonic water extraction (P<0.001).The diluted aceticacid extraction method is a improved method of the conventional ultrasonic water extraction of ginsenosides and a new method, which has a high extraction yield and the operation is simple, and meets the need of industrialized manufacture.
