Abstract: We established a diluted acetic acid extraction method and compared the yields of total ginsenosides and nine monoginsenosides (ginsenoside -Rb1,-Rb2,-Rb3,-Rc,-Rd,-Re,-Rf,-Rg1 and -Rg2) via our method with those via the conventional ultrasonic water extraction method, after total ginsenosides and nine monoginsenosides were measured with HPLC after purified by the macroporous resin method. The results show the dilutedacetic acid extraction method is better than the conventional ultrasonic water extraction method, the totalginsenosides and monoginsenosides yields via the diluted acetic acid extraction method were significantly increasedcompared with those via the conventional ultrasonic water extraction (P<0.001).The diluted aceticacid extraction method is a improved method of the conventional ultrasonic water extraction of ginsenosides and a new method, which has a high extraction yield and the operation is simple, and meets the need of industrialized manufacture.
