Abstract:

The experimental detection efficiency of 152Eu and 133Ba at 15 cm was measured via coaxial high-purity germanium (HPGe) detector.  Then the coaxial HPGe detector peak efficiency was simulated via Monte Carlo method, to adjust detector dead layer thickness and cold\|finger size. The results show that when the HPGe detector dead layer thickness is 0.22 cm, the thickness and length of cold\|finger size are 0.301 cm and 1 cm, the simulated efficiency is consistent with the experimental efficiency.
