Technology of Distributed Spatial Database Based on HBase

Abstract: In large geographic information system (GIS), it was necessary to store massive vector data and grid data to provide efficient response for users’ data query of high concurrency. The traditional design scheme was difficult to meet the demand. We proposed a distributed database HBase to store spatial data, which
 was based on memory storage, and designed the distributed spatial index based on GeoHash, realized distributed storage and fast query of vector and grid spatial data. Experimental result shows that this method improves the query speed of massive spatial data.
