Abstract:

Tin alkoxide complex was prepared by electrochemical dissolution of pure tin in the glycol solution, followed by the direct solgel process of electrolyte solution. The SnO sol coated on pure titanium substrate was calcined at 300 ℃ for 2 h in a muffle furnace. The electrocatalytic reduction performance of nano SnO/Ti electrode was investigated in the 0.3~1.2 mol/L KOH+0.2~0.8 mol/L KBO2 solution. The main factors of electrocatalytic reduction of KBO2 such as KBO2 and KOH concentrations and so on were studied. The monodisperse structure and the diameter of nano SnO/Ti electrode were observed by XRD and TEM. The results show that the nano SnO uniformly dispersed on the electrode surface. The electrocatalytic reduction performance of nano SnO/Ti electrode is stable. A yield of 16.9% and a current efficiency of 29.2% were respectively obtained.
