Application of Supported Phosphorus Acid Catalystin Synthesis of Dioctyl Sebacate

Abstract: The mesoporous materials SBA15 and phosphotungstic acid were evaporated and concentrated under 80 ℃ water bath to prepare supported phosphorus acid catalyst HPWSBA15, which was used as the catalyst for the synthesis of dioctyl sebacate. The effects of acid catalysis, different HPW loadings, reaction temperature, reaction time, molar ratio of acid to alcohol on the synthesis of dioctyl sebacate were studied. The results show that when the loaded amount of phosphotungstic acid of 50%, the reaction time of 2.5 h, n(sebacic acid)∶n(isooctyl alcohol)=1∶3, the highest esterification rate is 95.47%.
