Abstract: The effect of Dy on thermal stability and magnetic properties of Nd\|Fe\|Al based bulk amorphous alloys was investigated by means of X\|ray diffractometry (XRD). Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and the vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The results indicate that the thermal stability can be improved significantly by the addition of Dy. The remanence for (Nd1-xDyx)60Fe30Al10(x=0,0.1,0.2)) alloys decreases with increasing Dy mass fraction, but the coercive force increases. The coercive force for Nd\|Fe\|Al amorphous alloy comes of the large magnetocrystalline anisotropy field originated from its lanthanon.
