Abstract: The Sm-doped CeO2-based ceramic was prepared by the self-propagating combustion method, we studied the effect of different low sintering temperature and pressure on the electrical properties of the Ce0.9Sm0.1O2-δ (SDC) electrolyte. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and AC impedance spectroscopy were used to study the phase composition, microstructure and electrical properties of the SDC electrolyte under different variables. The results show that the average grain size of the SDC sample increases significantly with the sintering temperature, the sintering temperature and pressure do not affect the the unit cell parameters of the samples. Compared with the grain conductivity, the effect of the sintering temperature and pressure on the grain boundary conductivity is more obvious.
