Synthesis and Characterizations of Li[CoxLi 1/3-x/3Mn2/3-2x/3]O2Cathode Materials for Lithium Secondary Batteries

Abstract:

Li[CoxLi 1/3-x/3Mn2/3-2x/3]O2(x=0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4,0.5) cathode materials were synthesized by means of the citric acid\|based sol\|gel method. Their structures and electrochemical properties were investigated via  XRD, Raman, FTIR and electrochemical charge\|discharge cycling. The results show  that the material with x=0.5 exhibited the highest reversible capacity and the best capacity retention.  
