Abstract: By using generalized (G′/G)expansion method and MATLAB software, we investigated the exact solutions of variablecoefficient Sharma-Tasso-Olver (STO) equation. The results demonstrate that the proposed  method can  obtain the exact solutions of variablecoefficient STO equation.
