Efficient Improvement of Preconditioned ConjugateGradient Method for Structural Static Reanalysis

Abstract:

This paper deals with the implementation of preconditioned conjugate gradient method (PCG) for structural static reanalysis. The implementation of PCG is revised by exploring sparsity of incremental stiffness matrices so that the computational cost and time can be reduced. Numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the method.
