Abstract: Water solutions containing Cd2+ were treated thoroughly with nano-wate r-purifying material developed in the laboratory. The results show that this ki nd of nano-material can efficiently remove Cd 2+ ions with a low concentration in solutions with the highest removing rate of nearly 100%. This novel nano-material has many advantages such as convenient operation method, low cost, good effect, and high efficiency for treating Cd2+ ions with a low concentration.

Key words: nano-water-purifying material, Cd2+, water treatment
