基于AP选择及自适应切换的负载均衡算法

Load-Balancing Algorithm Based on Access Point Selection and Adaptive Handoff in WLAN

摘要:

针对无线局域网中无线接入点容易过载的问题, 提出一种基于无线接入点的选择及自适应切换的负载均衡算法。通过RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication)值, MAC(Media Access Control)帧发送时延选择接入点, 同时对无线站点的突发流量做出积极应对措施, 用最小限度接入点的切换达到均衡整个网络负载的目的。该算法能明确选择信道空闲的无线接入点, 均衡接入点负载, 降低数据包的发送时延。与传统方法相比, 该算法使系统的总吞吐量提高13.6%。

Abstract:

To resolve the problem of access point overload in WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network), a loadbalancing algorithm based on the access point selection and adaptive handoff is presented. In the algorithm, RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indication), MAC (Media Access Control) frame transmission delay and other f
actors are taken into consideration to select the access point. Meanwhile, it makes a positive response to the station of gusty traffic with minimal access point handoff to balance the entire network load. The algorithm can explicitly select the access point of the idle channel, and balance the load of access points. Then it effectively improves system throughput and reduces transmission delay of the packet. Compared with the traditional algorithms, it improves system throughput by 13.6%.
