摘要:

为了解决三维地形可视化中的海量数据快速高精度渲染问题,基于创建三维地形所使用的两种主要数字高程模型TIN(Triangulated Irregular Network)和GRID,研究了模
型采样点的分布特征、各自优缺点以及存储数据结构,给出了构建混合DEM(Digital Elevation Models)模型的方法,详述了构建混合模型,计算地形复杂度的方法,混合模型的数据结构及三角网生成算法。通过实验说明了混合模型用于三维地形可视化的优势。

Abstract:

In order to achieve fast and highprecision rendering of mass data for three-dimensional terrain visualization,this article analyzes two main DEM
(Digital Elevation Models)including TIN(Triangulated Irregular Network) and GRID for creating 3D terrains.Through analyzing the sample points' traits of the
 two models,disadvantage and data structures,a hybrid method for building DEM has been proposed.We discuss the steps of creating mixed model,including calculation terrain complexity,creation data structure of mixed model and building TIN.The hybrid method was tested by the actual experiments which shows good performance for three-dimensional terrain visualization.
