Attribute Reduction in Numerical Decision Systems

Abstract:

A method which aims at attribute reduction based on assignment set in numerical data sets is proposed. Firstly, the concept and some important properties of assignment set based on numerical data sets was presented. Then, authors defined dicernibility matrix based on assignment set, and proposed a new
 method for attribute reduction based on discernibility matrix in numerical data sets. Finally, an algorithm for computing discernibility matrix was presented.
Example analysis show that this method can effectively handle attribute reduction in numerical decision systems.
