Improved SIFT Algorithm for Image Matching

Abstract: In order to overcome the shortcomings of SIFT ( Scale-Invarivant Feature Transform) algorithm, a method which combines Harris algorithm with SIFT algorithm is put forward. SIFT feature points within the corner neighborhood range detected by Harris algorithm are used as feature points. Goss circular window is used to establish a 64-dimension description vector for feature points. The experiment result shows that this algorithm can improve the matching accuracy and the matching speed.
