To effectively preserve and use of geological survey data, the peripheral basin multi-source geological data management system in Daqing prospect was established based on GIS(Geographic Information System). The system was one of the subdatabase of geoscience database in that area. Taking GIS and Access 2003 software as platform for establishing dimensional database and attribute database, and using Mapobject,DAO(Data Access Object) technique and advanced programming language Visual Basic 60, each function of the gravity database was realized. The system can carry out the function of data adding, deleting, inquiry and management, etc. Also, a toolbox for processing general gravity data was developed, which can realize the function of analytic continuation, vertical differentiation, horizontal differentiation, normalized general gradient calculation, etc. The geological, geophysical and geochemical data from the study area can be integrated, analyzed and compared by using this system. It can also provide basic information and technical support to determine the location, number and quality of the oil and gas resources region.
