The Assessment of Geochemical Blocks of Gold in Southern Chifeng Area, Inner Mongolia

Abstract: Based on the theory of geochemical blocks, the authors build up a prospecting model for gold deposit in southern Chifeng. 1 geochemical block and 8 geochemical anomalies are delineated. Necessary requirements to confirm a metallogenic prospect have been put forward:the intersecting portion of the northeast trending faults (fracture zones) with west-east trending fracture,Archean stratum and their adjacent areas,Early Yanshanian intrusive rock and their adjacent areas.
