To improve the drying quality of grain and the intelligent level of drying process, an automatic detection and control system for the grain dryer based on virtual instrument and the intelligent field bus was developed. The system can perform the calibration and correction of the moisture sensor, automatic detection and control of moisture and temperature, fault detection and alarm, and predictive control of grain discharge. It is characterized by simple structure, high detection and control precision, strong ability of antiinterference, high automation level, and easy operation. Its practical application showed that the system can satisfy the requirement of grain drying, effective by control the discharge grain moisture content, improve the grain drying quality, and reduce the energy consumption of drying process.
