Parameter matching of mild hybrid electric
vehicle with compound power supply

In order to reduce the high cost of the hybrid electric vehicle(HEV) and prolong its battery lifespan, a mild HEV with a compound power supply was suggested. The fuel economy of the mild HEV can be improved by stopping the vehicle driving without the engine idling and regenerating the braking energy. The time required for gear shifting can be shortened because of the motor active synchronizing technique. The supercapacitor with high power density and long lifespan was used to form a compound power supply with the battery to buffer the power load of battery to prolong its lifespan. The parameter matching was performed for the powerdrive components of the mild HEV and validated by simulation analysis. The feasibility of applying the compound power supply system in the mild HEV was summarized.

According to the requirements of the electrical power steering(EPS) system in the pure electric power bus, a recirculatingball type EPS system was developed. A model for the recirculatingball type EPS system of the pure electric power bus and a 2DoF complete bus model were built. The concepts of steering such as the road feeling, the sensitivity, and the operation stability were introduced. The EPS system parameters were optimized by a genetic algorithm based on the principle of the constrained optimization of the multivariated function. The simulation results show that the optimization of the EPS system parameters improves effectively the road feeling and the operation stability of steering.

Influence of auxiliary brake on braking performance of frontdrive car

Taking the engine brake as an example, the operation principle and the affecting factors of the auxiliary brake were introduced. The reason to shift the gears in the transmission during the auxiliary braking was presented and it was explained that here the fittest gearbox is continuously variable transmission(CVT). The influences of the auxiliary brake on the braking performance of a frontdrive car were analyzed by means of the theoretical analysis, the formula deduction and the performance comparison. The effects of the auxiliary brake on the ideal brake force distribution in the car, the synchronized adhesion coefficient, and the utilizing rate of the adhesion coefficient during the urgent braking of the car were also discussed.

An integrated control strategy of the drivingwheel traction was proposed for the fulltime fourwheeldrive(4WD) vehicle, and its dynamics model was established. A softwareintheloop simulation system for the drivingwheel traction control was developed using MATLAB/Simulink, and the softwareintheloop simulation was performed for the offroad 4WD vehicle at special conditions. The simulation results show that the excessive slippage of the drivingwheel could be avoided by the developed traction control strategy, and the traction ability o f the 4WD vehicle on the split coefficient road and the single wheel on the low adhesive coefficient road could be improved significantly.

Simplified parametrized model of car side crashworthiness and its application

A simplified parametrized model for the concept design of the car side crashworthyness was built based on a detailed finite element analysis(FEA) model of a car structure on the side impact. The features of the car body deformation in the side impact were analyzed, and the principle and method of the simplified FEA modelling were suggested and the key techniques to build the simplified model were discussed. The simplified model was validated by its comparison with the key responses of the detailed FEA model. Moreover, the application method of the simplified parametrized model in the concept design of the car side crashworthyness was also discussed briefly.

The characteristic of shift process of the automated manual transmission(AMT) has been explored by mathematical modelling. A complete test system for the assessment of the AMT was established based on the shift characteristic, the requirement on the shift quality assessment system and the vehicle driving conditions at which the shift is performed. By the developed assessment test system, the shift performance of the AMT can be understood clearly, completely and deeply, providing a basis for the correct assessment of the vehicle shift quality.

The effects of the fuelair ratio of the combustible mixture and the intake temperature on the homogeneous charge compression ignition(HCCI) combustion behavior were studied on a rapid compression machine. The experiment results indicate that with the increase of the intake temperature, the ignition timing advances, the combustion duration decreases, the maximum combustion temperature rises, the maximum heat release rate increases, the maximum pressure rise rate becomes higher and its corresponding timing advances. With the increase of the excess air ratio of the combustible mixture, the start of combustion delays, the ignition temperature increases, the maximum combustion temperature decreases, the combustion duration increases, the maximum heat release rate decreases, the maximum pressure rise rate becomes lower and its corresponding timing delays.

Tests were done to investigate the influence of the battery voltage on the start behavior of an electronically controlled diesel engine which is integrated from a conventional diesel engine CA498Z produced by Dalian Diesel Engine Works, a VP37 electronically controlled distribution type fuel injection pump management system produced by BOSCH company, and a calibration system which is matched with the management system. The test results show that for the tested diesel engine there is an optimal lowest starting speed which corresponds to the minimal energy consumption of the battery and the successful starting of the engine.

Time effect of heat energy storage in earth energy application

The time effect for the heat absorption and releasing in the heat energy storage process in the earth energy application has been explored experimentally, the timedependent variation and distribution pattern of the temperature level of the underground energy storage body were investigated. The experiment results show that the intermittent working process is an effective means to enhance the underground heat energy storage efficiency, the synergetic control of the intermission frequency and the underground transient heattransfer load is beneficial to bring the comprehensive efficiency into full play. A continuous high load heat storage with sharp rise of the soil temperature around the heat source leads to an obvious fall of the temperature difference between the heat source and the adjacent soil, resulting in the adjacent heat accumulation and the heattransfer choke. Besides, a concept of ideal temperature domain of underground energy storage was presented as an important index to evaluate the effect of energy storage.

Conflict delay models at twophase intersection

Aiming at the conflict between the leftturn vehicle flow and the straightthrough vehicle flow at the twophase road intersections, the conflict delays of the leftturn and straightthrough vehicles was studied. A conflict delay model was built for the leftturn flow at the twophase intersection on the basis of Adamas delay model for the secondary vehicle flow at the unsignalized intersection. A conflict delay model was built for the straightthrough vehicle flow according to the probability theory, the gap theory and the queuing theory. The two suggested models proved feasible in practice to calculate the conflict delay of the leftturn and the straightthrough vehicle flows for the typical twophase intersections in Yantai city, the average relative error is 8.93% and 17.32% respectively.

Revised Weibull revision model of headway distribution for motorvehicle

To describe the motorvehicle arrival pattern better, a revised Weibull model(RWM) was developed based on the Weibull distribution function to explain the headway distribution of motorvehicle. The fittings of the Weibull model(WM), the negative exponential model(NEM), the displaced negative exponential model(DNEM) and the RWM to the headway distribution were contrasted using the survey data from the typical road segments in Changchun city, and the fitting parameters of the WM and the RWM were analyzed further. The results show that the WM and the RWM have advantage over the NEM and the DNEM. The generality and the fitting effect of the RWM is better than the WM. The achieved results provide a theoretical tool and approach to recognize the arrival pattern of the motorvehicle and give a theoretical basis for design and optimization of the signal scheme in the urban traffic system.

Quantitative approach for regional traffic state analysis

A quantitative approach for the regional traffic state analysis was developed by identifying the model parameters, the spatiotemporal hierarchical modelling, the quantitative method, and the case validation. The link traffic state coefficient was taken as the road network traffic state model parameter. The spatial information of road netwrok, the temporal traffic state information, and the traffic state judgement information were contained in the traffic state connection matrix, from which the reachable traffic state matrix can be calculated. Based on this a hierarchical model was deduced using the hierarchical algorithm. Giving the evaluated numerical values to the intersections and links in the hierarchical model, the quantitative results such as the intersection reachable value and the standard link connectable degree were calculated. The data in the real road network in Beijing were used to test the approach and the results show that the developed hierarchical model can be used to analyze quantitatively the traffic state of the intersection and its evolution, demonstrating the developed regional traffic state quantitative approach is feasible, which can be spreaded to perform the analysis of real traffic state, the control of regional traffic, the traffic induction, the research of traffic congestion and its evolution.

Evaluation of impact of traffic congestion pricing policy on traffic system

Taking the evaluation of the impact of the traffic congestion pricing policy(TCPP) on the traffic system as the study object, an evaluation index system of the impact of TCPP on traffic system and a prediction model system of the residents response behavior to the policy were developed using the disaggregate travel demand prediction theory. The impact of TCPP on the traffic system was evaluated comprehensively in terms of travel mode, temporal and spatial distributions of the traffic volume. The feasibility of adopting the TCPP in Nanhai district of Foshan city was analyzed as a real case study. The results indicate that the implementation of TCPP in Nanhai benefits for smoothing the temporal and spatial distributions of the traffic volume and reducing the road saturation in the congestion area, but has little effect on the optimization of traffic structure and adjustment of travel time. The established analysis mode based on the disaggregate theory“traffic condition analysis—management policymaking—travel response behavior prediction—policy effect evaluation” is useful for big cities in China to make, evaluate and implement the traffic demand management strategies.

In order to overcome the limitation of the conditional evaluation, a dynamic frequency sweep of asphalt mixture was performed using a dynamic shearing rheometer, and the master curve of the dynamic modulus change with the frequency across 15 orders of magnitude was obtained. Based on the master curve, the fulltime fullfrequency analysis becomes possible to study the viscoelastic property of asphalt mixture. The concepts such as the ultimate frequency, the rheological region, the steady state region, the lowfrequency or the highfrequency turning point, were presented after discussion and analysis. The study results indicate that the dynamic rheological test is an effective means to get the master curve of asphalt mixture which provides the sufficient conditions for the fulltemperature fullfrequency analysis. The 5 concepts derived from the form of the master curve reflect the essential properties of asphalt mixture.

Singlephase Nd/Sidoped YAG powder was synthesize at lower temperature(270 ℃) and lower pressure(18.2 MPa) via a solvothermal method by using ethanol as the solvent. The resulting YAG powder was characterized by XRD, TEM and PL. The dispersed powders were obtained in spherical shape with a narrow particle size distribution of 200~300 nm. PL spectrum of Nd/Si CoDoped powder is almost the same as that of Nd: YAG ceramics. It can be concluded that the doping and annealing conditions affect on optical character significantly.

Assembly system with MCM-41 as a host, and Eu(aspirin)3phen which had been heat treated as an active optical guest was synthesized at room temperature. The structure and photoluminescence properties of the samples were investigated by XRD, N2 adsorptiondesorption and PL. The results suggest that the framework order of MCM-41 increases after Eu(aspirin)3phen being incorporated into the channels of MCM-41. The luminescence intensity of Eu(aspirin)3phen-MCM-41, where Eu(aspirin)3phen has been heat treated, is equal to that of Eu(aspirin)3phen powder. The inversion center appears in the Eu(aspirin)3phen molecular, while the surface of MCM-41(before calcining) has bonding with Eu(aspirin)3phen, and then the transition 5D0→7F2 decreases obviously. The surface of MCM-41(after calcining) has no effect on the electric dipole transition 5D0→7F2 of Eu3+.

Nitrate reduction in water by ironsystem bimetallic nanoparticles

Nanoscale Fe0, Fe/Ni and Fe/Cu particles were synthesized respectively using liquidphase reduction method. Then these nanoparticles were studied as reactive materials for the reduction of nitrate in groundwater under anaerobic condition. The factors affecting the reduction of nitrate, such as the reactive material, the loading content and the initial nitrate concentration in the water, were investigated. Experiments were carried out to examine the mechanisms and productions of contaminant degradation by the three types of nanoparticles. Results show that the Fe/Cu nanoparticles with 5.0% Cu can significantly enhance the rate of reduction of nitrate, remove almost 100% nitrate within a period of 20 min when the iron concentration was 1.5 g/L. In the progress, nitrate removal was accompanied with NH+4 N increase and NO-2 N undergo the process of from increasetodecrease, with final nitrogen loss in the reaction of about 25%. Experiments results also show that the activity and selectivity of bimetallic Fe/Cu to a benign compound (i.e., nitrogen gas) is comparable to that of ironbased bimetals (Fe/Ni) and zerovalent metals. The ammonium of the denitrification by nanoscale Feo and Fe/Ni is above 95%. Bimetallic Fe/Cu could be a promising reactive reagent for the reduction of nitrate.

Based on the dynamic change of the contact angle during the highspeed operation of the angularcontact ball bearing, a systematic analysis on the equation group of its dynamic characteristic was performed. The variable deliver was analyzed from the adjunct equations to solve the dynamic characteristic, and it was found that every adjunct equation is the function of the inner and outer actual contact angle. Therefore, a method based on the search in the contact angle solution domain was suggested to calculate the dynamic characteristic of the angularcontact ball bearing to avoid the complexity and the potential of iterative divergence of the conventional NewtoRaphson iterative method in solving the dynamic equation group, thus the method of solving the equation group is changed into the method of proving the equation group. Besides, a leastsquare criterion to identify the optimum contact angle was given. An example was presented to demonstrate the feasibility of the suggested method.

Stress analysis and test of ball mill based on contact boundary conditions

A whole finite element analysis model was built to analyze the stress in a large ball mill, including its major components such as the main bearing and the rotary body. The contact pair elements between the saddle pedestal and the bearing bushing, as well as between the bearing lining and the trunnion were taken as the boundary conditions in the numerical simulation. A static full load condition, a full load startup condition and the normal working condition were computed and the stress amplitudes and their change patterns in the saddle pedestal, bearing bushing, bearing lining, trunnion, end covers and middle cylinder body were obtained. The results show that the maximal stress appears in the fillet which connects the feeding cover and the trunnion, and the minimal stress appears in the middle of the cylinder body. A field test on the stress in the cylinder body of the ball mill was performed and the axial and circumferential stresses in the typical sections were recorded when the ball mill turns a whole revolution at static full load condition. The tested stresses were in good agreement with the corresponding simulated results, showing the correctness of the numerically simulated results.

In the engineering practice, the reliability test data of the numerically controlled(NC) machine tool were analyzed and evaluated mostly without consideration of the data truncation time. The data were normally fitted by the 2parameter Weibull distribution, resulting in large error in the data analysis and the parameter estimation. Aiming at this problem, a total fault time method was used to pretreat the fault data, and the relevant parameters were got assuming that the data follow the 2parameter Weibull distribution, then a 3parameter Weibull distribution model was established using the improved interpolation technique to evaluate the position parameter. Taking the random truncated fault data of a certain series of 6 NC machine tools in a year as an example to demonstrate the detailed calculation process. The obtained results can improve the accuracy of the reliability analysis and evaluation on NC machine tools.

According to the fact that the longeared owl wing with nonsmooth leading edge demonstrates a remarkable reduction of the flight noise a kind of bionic axial fan blade with nonsmooth leading edge was designed. The pilot experiments show that the noise level of the bionic nonsmooth blade in the 50~2000 Hz frequency range is remarkable lower than that of the prototype blade, the maximal noise reduction rate is 2.52%. The factors affecting the noise reduction of the bionic nonsmooth blade are in the order of importance as follows:the interval, the height and the number of the nonsmooth element. The computer simulation analysis shows that the noise reduction mechanism of the nonsmooth leading morphology consists in the reducing the airfoil surface turbulent boundary layer pressure pulsation, retarding the rear airfoil shedding vortex separation, reducing the chaos airflow among the airfoils, thus rectifying the flow around the subsequent airfoil to control the turbulence breakaway, all these results in reduction of the turbulent flow noise.

Experiment and analysis of large deflection of

A research method of the large deflection of the throttle slice of the hydropneumatic spring was presented. The deviation of the analytic equation deduced using the Qian perturbation method was analyzed. The perturbation parameters in the equation were refitted through the least square technique and the precision of the results was validated by comparison with the numerical solution from the finite element analysis. A method to study the throttling by the annular aperture was suggested and the flow equation through the aperture under the turbulence state was deduced using the boundary layer theory. A mathematical model was built for the selfdeveloped hydropneumatic spring configuration with a single air chamber by the equation mentioned above and the real gas state equation. The relationships of the elastic force and the total force output versus the displacement in the system were analyzed by the simulation. The correctness of the model was validated by the comparison between the simulated results and the experimental data,providing a reference for the design of the hydropneumatic spring.

Through the comparing tests of three large speciments of the longspan prestressed concretefilled rectangular steel tubular truss(RSTT) with cantilever, the prestressed RSTT and the concretefilled RSTT, their mechanical behaviors, such as the destroy mode, the deformation feature, and the loading capacity were investigated. The test results show that the ultimate strength of the prestressed concretefilled RSTT is larger than the concretefilled RSTT and the prestressed RSTT, and the deflection of the former is smaller than that of both the latter. Filling with concrete in the steel tube can effectively prevent the compressed steel tube from the local buckling, and the destroy mode of the truss is controlled by the strength of material. The obtained results provide a valuable reference for the engineering design of the truss.

Based on the distinct timedependent feature of the structure service state, a viewpoint was presented that the aging effect on retrofit of the building by adding a storey must be considered. In view of the shortage of the reliability analysis on the stiffness, based on the intrinsic features of the loading and the resistance of the inservice structure, a dynamic reliability analysis was done for adding a storey onto an inservice structure. In the analysis many factors including the uncertainty of the calculation mode, the material deterioration and the reduction in structure component sizes were taken into account. A timedependent behavior of the factors influencing the stiffness of adding a storey onto an inservice structure was given.

Nonlinear analysis on deflection of prestressed concrete bonded
simply supported beam and slab subjected to fire

The temperature fields of the beam and slab were calculated by ANSYS program, and the nonlinear analysis on the deflection of the prestressed concrete bonded simply supported beam and slab subject to fire was performed by the compiled FORTRAN program. In the nonlinear analysis a fiber element model was adoped and the coupling effect of the load and temperature was taken into accounted. The bending moment versus curvature relationship in all sections along the span of the beam and slab was got through analysis. The deflections of the prestressed bonded simply supported beam and slab subject to fire were obtained using the method of conjugate beam. The calculation results by the program were compared with the experimental data in related references, and a good agree ment was demonstrated. Besides, the nonlinear analyses were also done on the deflections of the largespan prestressed concrete bonded simply supported beam and slab respectively in ISO steandard temperature rise conditions, and the results show that the largespan prestressed concrete bonded simply supported beam has a good fire resistance under the normal design load level.

Through mechanical and dynamic parameters transition and weight value distribution, a time and space multiscale numerical method by coupling Discrete Element Method (DEM) and Finite Element Method (FEM) was proposed. Simulation of an example of elastic stresswave propagation was carried out. The results show that the multiscale numerical method possesses the dual superiorities of multiscale time and multiscale space, which significantly improve the efficiency of simulation. It is shown that the simulation results by the method satisfy the requirement of accuracy. The method is also employed to simulate the damage behaviors of a tensile aluminum plate under laser irradiation, and the results are accordant with the experimental results.

On the basis of Cohn method of qualitative shape representation, two kinds of problem in distinguishing SameSide relation of two concavities are analyzed. Then an improved predicate SameSide* is presented. Based on SameSide*, a concavity transformingbased method for SameSide distinction (i. e. CTS method) is proposed. The algorithm described in ADL is also given. Case studies are conducted to compare the proposed method with the Cohn method. It is shown that the problems of the Cohn approach are overcome by the CTS method, thus distinguishing conclusions are derived which accord with human intuitive cognition. Therefore, the reasonableness and the correctness of qualitative shape representation are improved to some extent.

Feature selection is one of the most important issues in system modeling, data mining and pattern recognition. A new hybrid feature selection method, named RRK, is proposed which is based on the wrapper and filter methods. This method includes two steps: (1) feature preselection phase, in this step an improved algorithm named NReliefF based on ReliefF and a dimension reduction algorithm named DR are given to finish featureweight and useless feature reduction; (2) feature selection phase, in this step the result of the feature preselection is used as the input, and the NReliefF and KNN algorithms are combined to select the optimal feature which is based on the highest accuracy rate. Both practical data sets of occupant type and standard data sets of Imagine in UCI are used to verify the proposed feature selection method. Results show that both the accuracy rate and efficiency of the classification are significantly improved by this method.

To resolve the problems of case building, case retrieval and case adaptation, an extension method is proposed in CaseBasedReasoning (CBR). In this method, the MatterElement model in Extenics is applied in CBR to describe the cases and the problems qualitatively and quantitatively. The distance from a point to an interval, which is redefined in Extenics, is presented to calculate the similarity between the case and the target interval. The method of extension transformation is used in the case adaptation to adjust the selected case to meet the target requirements. An example of turbine type selection is used to illustrate the feasibility of the extension method applied in CBR.

The possible conflict types of policies in policybased resource relocation mechanism in mobile network were analyzed. Due to the changeability of state of system resource and the uncertainty of mobile switching, the static policy conflict of the dynamic resource allocation mechanism can not be detected and resolved prior to the policy generation. We propose a new approach for dynamic conflict detection and resolution based on utility function. This approach is able to quantitatively analyze the policy action and overcome the shortcomings of existing approach, which determines whether a policy action can be implemented according to the priority assigned to the action. A case study shows that according to the network resource states and the system programming goals, by realtime calculation of the utility value for dynamic resource allocation policy, the automatic policy conflict resolution can be achieved, the accuracy of the resource allocation is increased, and the dynamic resource management capability of the system is improved.

Starting with the criticality partition of functional profiles (FPs) and considering the testeffectiveness, a new software reliability growth model suitable for embedded software is proposed based on the logarithmic model. This model takes the costconstraint into consideration in software reliability growth test. It gives higher test coverage to the FPs with higher criticality. Compared with existing models this growth model has two features. First, it does no longer take time as the only variable to increase the reliability; second, it can rectify the precision of the model.

Adjoining trust based routing security assessment

To solve the problem of routing attacks, the concept of adjoining trust is presented. The adjoining trust is used to effectively inhibit deceptions from middle nodes when transferring routing information. An adjoining trust assessment model is also constructed based on this concept. A mathematical description of this model and a mobile agent based implementation are given. Using this model, a greed algorithm is designed to quantitatively assess the security of the MANET and to sense attacks at the same time. Compared with other algorithms, the greed algorithm has the advantage of high sensitivity to routing attacks. Simulation results show that the proposed assessment scheme can not only detect the attacks by illegal outsiders but also sense the attacks by legal authorized insiders. Therefore, the proposed assessment scheme effectively improves the security of the MANET system.

Existing attack graph generation methods have the problem of state explosion, which results in the scale of the generated graphs to be large. To solve this problem, a depthfirst attack graph generation method was proposed on the basis of formal description of network security elements. The depthfirst search algorithm was employed to find the attack paths in the network. The strategies to restrain the number of the attack steps and the success probability of attack paths were adapted to reduce the scale of the attack graphs. Experiment results show that the proposed method can efficiently remove the redundant edges and nods in the attack graphs, consequently decreases the scale of the attack graphs.

:A method of alert correlation based on multisource data is presented. This is due to that, in order to attain a high level description of cyberattacks, the network security administrators have to manually handle the alerts from multiple sources, such as the Intrusion Detection System (IDS), firewall, antivirus software and scanner. First, an Extended Colored Petri Net (ECPN) is constructed by adding observation set, which reflects the alerts information from security tools, to the Colored Petri Net (CPN), and the formalized description and graphic modeling on ECPN are carried out. Then, an ECPNScenarioConstructor and MultistepAbstract algorithms are proposed based on ECPN. Finally, experiment is conducted with the data set of DARPA 2000 intrusion scenario correlation benchmark. Results show that this method can effectively correlate the alerts, detect the attacking strategy of the attacker early, and reduce the leakage of alerts and avoid false alerts.

Basic methods of parametrization of the 3D foursided region on the triangular mesh were analyzed, and a new method of fast parametrization of the 3D foursided region data was proposed based on the segmentation of the 3D foursided region on the triangular mesh model. By the coordinate transform and the projection of the points into a plane, the difficult parametrization in a 3D foursided region is changed into a grid generation problem in a planar foursided region. A bidirectional flexible grid generation algorithm to form the planar foursided region by the broken line sides was suggested to deal with the difficult data acquisition problem in the segmented 3D foursided region of the complex curved surface in the reverse engineering. A strong technical support was provided for merging and fitting several NURBS surfaces of the multipiece 3D foursided regions.

A status monitoring method based on screen recognition for computercontrolled instruments is proposed. This method judges the status of an instrument by detecting the feature of working interface of the control software. In order to avoid interfering with the instrument control software, Mirror Driver is adopted to capture the screen image and an improved Sequential Similarity Detection Algorithms (SSDA) is applied for screen recognition to increase the monitoring speed. This status monitoring method has been put into actual use.

The typical example of underactuated system Acrobot was studued and a swing up control strategy was designed based on energy incrementof the system such that the proposed control scheme can guarentee the energy increase to realize swing up control of the system. The both dynamics and kinetics of the swing up process was analyzed in detail. In addition, the complex dynamic and kinetic phnomenon was studied when system control parameters were changed. On the basis of the analysis, some general conclusions concerned the dynamics and kinetics of the system were obtained.

A linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach was used to design an unbised H∞ filter and the estimation for state variables which were not easily measured in the time delay system was conducted. This filtering error system derived on the basis of LMI satisfiies asymptotically stable condition and H norm of the transfer function of the error system is less than a possitive scalar γ. By the introduction of the unbiased condition, the the proposed approach overcomes the stability limitation in the estimation of the time dealy system, and it can be applied in the estimation of unobservable states of either critical stable and unstable time delay systems. In addition, this approach was used in the estimation of the composition of the product P with a single time delay system in the oil refinery process. In comparison to the filtering approach without delay information, the estimation error of the proposed method is smaller.

An intelligent lighting control system based on the microcontrol unit(MCU) was developed to control the headlights of the vehicle. The system controls the change of the lighting power by sensing the ambient light. After the training of the applied neural network, the accuracy of the classification rate for the various traffic lighting environments encountered during vehicle driving may reach above 98%, being able to make quick and accurate decision for the headlight control. The system uses the MCU technology, being compatible for both manual and automatic controls. It imitates the actual contol thinking of the driver, makes the control effect close as much as possible the practical requirement. Additionally, it can avoid the disturbance of the various stray lights with low misjudgment rate, can be widely used in various types of vehicle.

The filtering methods based on information fusion estimation in linear or nonlinear systems was presented for the filtering problem in discrete dynamic stochastic system. For linear filtering, one step predictive information and state measurement information are used to obtain the optimal fusion estimate of the system state, and the uniformity between linear filtering and standard Kalman filtering was proved. Based on the nonlinear information fusion theorem, an iterative fusion estimation method with small computation cost was derived. Furthermore, a solution to the selection of initial filtering values was investigated.

A magnetic compass system at low cost based on magnetresistance sensor and accelerometer was designed The working mechanism of this compass was presented, and the method for the calculation of magnetic heading angle was given with the analysis of the errors that affects heading accuracy. In order to improve system accuracy, hardware filter was used in the processing of the collected data, in the same time, ellipse fitting method for the compensation of the magnetic deviation was applied. Experiment show that the performance of this fitting method is satisfied in the compensation, and the systen is stable and suitable to the low speed portable navigation.

The Interactor algorithm for the construction of inverse of multiinput multioutput (MIMO) nonlinear systems was modified for the proplems that the abnormal interrupt and no constructive inverse would happen. In the modification, output permutation before the algorithm execution, retrieval from abnormal abortion, indirect inverse solution, and introduction of improvement strategy in control dynamics were used. The propose modification can provide an effective method for reversibility judgment and the completely analytical inverse construction. Examples and simulations were given to demonstrate validity of the peoposed modified Interactor algorithm.

To efficiently resolve outlier detection problem in large scale data sets, an efficient outlier detection algorithm based on Support Vector Data Description (SVDD) was proposed. The key concept of the algorithm is as follows: First, the spherical boundary containing oneclass dataset is obtained via SVDD; then the test datasets are classified with this boundary. In addition, the minimum enclosing ball algorithm is applied to optimize the SVDD detection classifier. The algorithm is compared with other outlier detection algorithms by experiments with benchmark dataset from UCI data set repository and intrusion detection data sets. Results show that the proposed algorithm consumes less running time meanwhile achieves higher detection accuracy.

On the basis of the iterative encoding algorithm of low density parity check (LDPC) codes, a construction method of irregular LDPC codes checking matrix in lower triangle structure was presented. Simulation results indicate that the performance of the proposed method in both MSK modulation and BPSK modulation can possess linear operation complexity, simple matrix structure, easy storage property, and strong capacity for error correction.

In order to overcome the disadvantages of system performance degradation on the condition of pilot numbers smaller than channel impulse length and bad channel environment in many paths, an improved semiblind channel estimation algorithm based on MLE for OFDM system was presented. The proposed algorithm can reach small system mean square error with nonuninformed pilots. And by the reduction of pilot numbers, frequency resource of the system is increased. In addition, with singular value decomposition, the algorithm computational complexity can be simplified. It is known from the simulation results that when full use of channel statistical information, under the condition of small number pilots, long channel impulses and low SNR, the proposed algorithm can achieve better channel estimation with lower computational complexity, which proves the effectiveness and advantage of the algorithm.

An Space Time Block Code Quasiorthogonal Time Division Multiplex (STBCQOTDM) for multiinput multioutput (MIMO) system was proposed, in which the QOTDM sample sequences are STBC before transmission. Based on the integral relationship among the modified Gaussian Q function, the probability density function, and the characteristic function of the channel, a closed form solution for symbol error probability (SEP) of STBCQOTDM due to the sample errors over spatially correlated fading channels was derived. This form can be used to evaluate the SEP performance of the STBCQOTDM system. Finally, Monte Carlo simulations of the system demonstrate the corectness of the obtained closed form solution.

The energy efficiency of the IEEE 802.16e sleep mode mechanism was studied. The analysis of the energy efficiency and data package delay was made by the use of a Markov chain model in sleep mode with time threshold. Then a heuristic time threshold setting algorithm was presented to adapt network real time traffic load. NS2 simulation results show that this proposed algorithm can achieve higher efficiency in power consumption and less data package delay in the comparison with the traditional sleep mechanism.

Using the features of wavelet transform that can save detail image information, an image denoising method with the combination of nonlinear diffusion and wavelet transform was presented. The image was diffused nonlinearly by the diffusion function of the nonlinear diffusion equation in the estimation of wavelet parameter. The simulation results prove that the proposed algorithm is feasible and practical.

A call admission control algorithm for multimedia low orbit satellite networks was proposed. Based on real time call dropping probability of destination cell, combining probability threshold method, and utility fairess allocation scheme, the algorithm reserved bandwidth for handoff calls. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm presents satisfied new call blocking probability and can greatly reduce handoff dropping probability with guaranteed higher banfwidth unilization.

To weaken the effect of the primary field and reduce the blind zone of exploration, the transmitting waveform needs to record. In this paper a recording unit is designed, which records the transmitting current by current sampling, preamplifying and filtering, and signal sampling. The test results show that the designed recording unit can fully and smoothly memorize the transmitting current waveform, which has the similar shape to the display waveform on the oscillograph with higher sampling precision.

To realize realtime and intelligence in fault diagnosis system, a MultiAgent System (MAS) based fault diagnosis system model of spacecraft was proposed. The framework of the model realizes systemlevel diagnosis by hierarchical strategy, reduces computer space, and accelerates the isolation of fault source. The diagnosis Agent may construct its own diagnosis model according to the features of the domain knowledge of the subsystem, and can autonomously deal with emergency fault. MultiAgents can accomplish mission coordinately, thus the diagnosis efficiency is improved due to concurrent work. Furthermore, a HighLevel Architecture (HLA) based fault diagnosis system simulation platform is constructed. Simulation results show the superiority of the proposed fault diagnosis system model and validate the simulation platform.

In this paper a Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) model is proposed and the improved Lagrangian relaxation algorithm is employed to solve the model. Simulation results show that the proposed model and the improved Lagrangian relaxation algorithm are more efficient, especially for largescale problems.

During whipping process of whipped cream the changes of partial coalescence rate of fat globules, protein concentration in serum, overrun, textural properties, and the relationship between the submicroscopicalstructure and whipping time were analyzed. The effect of the whipping process on the quality of the whipped cream was investigated. Results show that the whipping process is composed of three steps, including rapid puffing step, big air bubble breaking up step, and coalescence step of small air bubbles. In the first step, the overrun, the partial coalescence rate of fat globules and the growth of fat globule size are relatively slow, and most of the air bubbles are the big ones, so the structure of the bubbles is unstable.
